As a young'un, I told my mom that I wanted to roller-skate down the aisle at my wedding. I told her that I wanted to be a single-mother and a trucker (I'm not sure which of these should have been the more blaring sign that I was queer...), and I told her that I wanted to see the world - every last inch of it!
So here I am, twenty-five years old, with the whispers of wanderlust still calling. I no longer plan to skate down the aisle, but to walk it in fresh, white Converse. And while I still debate a life as a trucker some days, I would now happily raise a child with someone I love and respect. But the world - my god, the world - it still astounds me as it did twenty-odd years ago.
My younger self knew what she desired: "I want to go to all seven continents!"
Well mini Marian, there's only one way to do that, you just have to start moving.
So here it is. A record of every adventure. Every trip. Every movement towards my goal. Stories from past trips, tips on how to travel cheap, lessons learned, sites seen, knowledge gained. All in one punnily-named corner of the internet.
